My Thanksgiving Break

Hellooo! I know it’s close to the holiday season, so I wanted start posting again, because it’s been a very long time. Over Thanksgiving break, I visited Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with my family(of course), and one of my closest friends. On the first day, we went to a beautiful indoor garden site called Longwood Gardens. We saw a water show that included water fountains, some Christmas music, and lights. There were outdoor trails to show the plants there. Under each tree or plant would be a small sign telling the name of the plant. My mom and I collected a variety of plants so that once we got home we could make a collage. This picture frame below contain the plant we collected. But the main attraction was a huge greenhouse, and, no it is not a house painted green, it is a house they store plants in. Once we walked inside, this sweet vanilla aroma hit us. We found out that the smell came from a flower called the Trumpet Lily. The next day, we went to Independence Hall. After that, we learn all about the Liberty Bell, and the Declaration of Independence. Also, while we were driving around downtown Philadelphia, we found this small park with giant versions of board game pieces. My sister and I stood on top of was was supposed to be a giant version of the Monopoly hat. On the last day, we went to the Franklin Institute science museum. In the planetarium, there were two shows: Astral Almanac, which was about the seasons, and; The Sky Tonight, which was about the constellations during this time of year. We saw two other shows, one was about Combustion (hot air balloon, rocket launch), fire is SO cool!!!! Another show was called Liquid Air(The states of matter). This trip was fun and also educational. After we reached home, we went to the mall. That’s the picture of me with the big stuffed animal on my head. I can go on and on talking about this trip, but this paragraph is way too long 🙂 If you read all the way until here, thank you, and if you didn’t, well then you wouldn’t be reading this! Thank you!!!!!
